Loving that I have joined a KAL ...a (knit along) for those scratching their heads.

The Gemini Pullover is my choice, but only because I had already started it:) I found so many spring/summer ideas on Shannon's blog that I can't wait to start!! It's so cool to get your inspiration from other knitters you have never met. Some of my favorites that she listed are the "hester pullover & the madeline cardigan". I've got to get my hands on that Knitscene magazine. hmmm.
For now, this the progress I've made so far on my OTN (on the needles)

The Spring that I have missed so much since moving to Ohio, came unexpectantly this year. I can't get over all the flowering trees & green!! Yes green in March & even blue skies to match. Loving it, along with all the furry gang. Everyone just seems happier in the sunshine, don't they?

Hocking Hills

We decided to head south on Friday to a place I've wanted to visited for a while, Hocking Hills State Park. It's only an hour or so from here..a quick drive really to a magical place. We all had a great day & felt like we traveled far, far away.

Magic in the views,
Up top I stare in disbelief at the beauty below.
Touching the ancient place formed so many years ago.
Right there in front of us,
giant waterfalls, trails winding round,
silent forest welcoming our footsteps on the way down.
A panoramic view within our reach,
filled with hemlocks and sandstones.
Memories to take home.

Gemini Pullover - OTN

I started this Gemini Pullover by Jane Richmond over spring break. Found for free here. She's one of my favorite knitters that I've found through blogging.

Loving it so far. The lace start up was a bit tricky for this lace novice, but now I'm onto straight stockinette..a good stress reliever. Can't wait to wear it this summer. I chose Red Heart Recycled Cotton Blend in Moss.
Also, only a few days till April, so I'm hoping to finish my April Showers cowl this week...

Signs of Spring

I notice every year how our surrounding change,
trees get bigger,
children grow taller,
days get longer,
but one thing always stays the same,
the first signs of spring.

After a rough start, I realized my colors were all wrong. I started with the gray & accidentally twisted my yarn on joining the circle. Even after 4 rows I didn't see the mistake.... A huge one, unless I want to walk around with a twisted neck sweater:) As I began to frog, I decided this mistake was a reminder that I actually wanted to do a cream sweater with a thin strip every 2 or so inches. So $5 in Paris it is. Can't wait to get outside & start this one again:)

Spring

I was hoping to take more pictures this weekend seeing that we had beautiful weather & lots of blue skies. Yesterday felt like an almost summer day. Spring flowers are popping up everywhere & despite the sleepy heads I saw this morning, I can feel spring fever in the air.
