Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

What's your favorite Dr Seuss book? There are so many to choose from..it's hard to decide. I love "Oh the Places You'll Go"..it's a book you can really appreciate the older you get & "The Lorax"...who couldnt love a little guy who speaks for the trees. Today Dr. Seuss would've been 105!

I remember when Jack loved to hear "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"..he especially loved the big illustration of the Grinch. Another one of Jack's favorites & one they both like today is "My Many Colored Days." This one wasnt published until after Dr. Seuss' death & isnt illustrated by him, but like all of his books it's fun for big & little kids. We all have our many colored days... "some days are yellow & some days are blue. on different days I'm different too."

I love how colorful & silly his illustrations were. He also created alot of surreal "secret art" that was rarely seen during his life. The first one above is called "The Cat Detective in the Wrong Part of Town"...
