Summer Summer Summer!!

Today was our official first day of summer break!! We ventured over to Powell to see Justin Roberts in concert. What fun!! Where were the cool kid bands when I was little?? I guess Sesame Street was all our parents had back then & Hap Palmer of course!! It was a beautiful sunny 70 degree kinda day! Gotta love the 70s.. &&Maddie had her first piano lesson & loved every second!! Jack & giggled as we heard her & Ms. Kelly playing "Mary had a little lamb". I'm excited for her to have music to play with Jack during practice time at night:) Summer feels good right now!

Ch..Ch Cherries!!

Yesterday I decided to make a few cherry treats. First, I made cherry turnovers...basically you make a pie crust & wrap diced cherries with sugar & bake. Yum! Then I made a spin on my banana chocolate chip bread..minus the banana & add cherries. WaaLaa..you have chocolate cherry bread!!

Tuesday's Tale on Wed.

Days went by slowly on the coast. Her escape had led her to her brother's house in Maine. She trusted him more than anyone. But she still hid the real reason for suddenly appearing from thousands of miles away. He knew something was wrong, but she knew he'd never ask unwanted questions. He only tried to stay out of her way. The look on his face told her he was suspicious, but mostly curious as to to why she had suddenly showed up back in his life. He knew her better than Victor. Did Victor really know her at all?

All of her life she had been running away from something. This however she couldn't escape. She felt so tired and weary, longing for the companionship Victor had always given her. Why had she lied to him when she left, saying she didn't love him anymore. How could she be a loving mother if she hurt everyone she cared for?

What day is it??

What day is it??? Long weekends always leave me asking this question. My aunt & uncle came from NC & we had a lot of fun hanging out; Crew game, Jack's performance in the "Six Hidden Princesses" & time to catch up & just hang out. I wish they lived closer..we all missed them when they left!

Jack did a great job tapping as a piano key. The whole show was beautiful & I left feeling inspired by all the dazzling dancers:)

MOnday music..Last night John & I watched some of this AW 2004 concert. What a voice this girl has.. A lot different since her rehab days.
