Farewell Gift

Jack's violin teacher, Ms. Kelly leaves for London soon. I made these wrist & neckwarmers for her:) We'll miss her alot, she's done an amazing job connecting with him & helping him progress. We have a new teacher who I'm hoping can make it even better:) It's fun to think of my knits traveling abroad hopefully keeping her warm:)

First Day.

I often wander what it feels like to step back into the classroom
Would it all feel the same?
Smiles tucked tightly in their pockets
Curiosity brewing with every move.
First days are always full of wonder
I'd love to capture their excitement for the whole year long.
A big day waits to learn all those lessons,
some harder than others.
It all feels right, seeing them walk away remembering the first days of their lives
& all the between days.
Letting go for their first day.

End of Summer Knitting..

Sunburst Beret done:) Started a smaller one for my Maddie. Also, a farewell gift for a friend. I love knitting this time of the year.

Vacation was beautiful..listened to this a few times on my ipod looking at the ocean. Why does the ocean have to be so far away?

A new hat for the fall..

I still feel really sad when I think about my "yellow butterfly beret" wandering about DC somewhere, so I've started a new one for the fall...something to remind me of the sunshine, nice & bright:)
